Jubilation in Feni-1 as Khaleda Zia Nominated: BNP Holds Joyous Rally

In anticipation of the 13th National Parliamentary Election, the BNP has released its initial candidate list nationwide. BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia has been nominated to contest from the Bogura-7, Dinajpur-3, and Feni-1 constituencies in the announced list of 237 seats.

Following the announcement of Khaleda Zia’s nomination for Feni-1, BNP activists in Chhagalnaiya, Feni, organized a joyous procession and rally.

On Tuesday (November 4th) morning, the procession, organized by the Upazila and Pourasabha (Municipal) BNP, started from College Road and circled the town’s main street.

Leaders and Enthusiasm

The procession and rally saw the presence of numerous party leaders and activists, including:

• Rafiqul Alam Majnu: Convener of Dhaka Metropolitan South BNP and Organizational Coordinator for the Feni-1 constituency.

• Belal Ahmed: Assistant Secretary of BNP’s Village Government Affairs.

• Alal Uddin Alal: Member Secretary of Feni District BNP.

• Nur Ahammed Majumder: Convener of Chhagalnaiya Upazila BNP.

• Alamgir BA: Member Secretary of Chhagalnaiya Upazila BNP.

• Kopil Uddin Sarker & Yousuf Majumdar: Joint Convener of Upazila BNP & Convener of Pourasabha BNP, respectively, along with leaders and activists from various union-level units and associate organizations.

Pledge for Victory

In the rally preceding the procession, the leaders emphasized that activists would work with greater strength than ever before in the upcoming election. They urged everyone to unite with the goal of ensuring that Feni-1 receives the highest number of votes among the three constituencies contested by Khaleda Zia.

Speakers congratulated Khaleda Zia on her nomination for Feni-1, calling her the “most persecuted woman in Bangladesh.” They asserted that her nomination has energized the activists. Speakers called on everyone to unite and work on the ground to secure the victory of the ‘Sheaf of Rice’ symbol and establish justice and good governance.
